The Zibbiz Security Shield Program
The Zibbiz Security Shield Program helps to protect users for both personal security and online transactions by confirming the identity of the
register user. This can create a peace of mind that the identity of the person you are going to do business with or planning to
meet in person has been verified.
The program works by Zibbiz verifying information supplied by the registered user upon enrolling in the security program.
Once the information is verified, the user's account will display a security shield icon indicating they are participating in the program.
Whenever you view an ad in the Zibbiz Marketplace, it will indicate if the person that has placed the ad is registered into the Security Shield Program.
You can even verify a security shield when a person advertises anonymously.
What information is verified?
Zibbiz verifies several types of information including the registered user's email, phone number, address and that the user has a valid credit card, PayPal or Google Checkout account.
How does the program protect me?
Online
The Security Shield Program helps to protect buyers and sellers online by letting them know that the person they are planning to do business with has been verified and has a valid Zibbiz Security Shield.
Communicating
Whether you are responding to an ad or simply replying to a person from your ad, it’s comforting to know if the person you are communicating with has been verified by Zibbiz. If the person does not a security shield, let them know that you prefer to do business with verified users.
In-Person
Conducting business in a local marketplace can often require meeting someone in person. Knowing that the identity of an individual you are planning to meet has been verified can help you feel more secure. Before you agree to meet, both parties can verify each other's security shield.

Am I required to participate?
The Security Shield Program is entirely voluntary.
How long is my Security Shield valid?
Your shield is valid for 1 year.
Where is my shield displayed?
Your shield is displayed in the contact panel of your ads.
What if I want to advertise anonymously?
Your shield will appear in any ads you place anonymously. People will still be able to verify your shield without viewing your identity.
Can I choose not to do business with someone who doesn't have a security shield?
Yes, it is your choice and completely acceptable if you only want to do business with a person that has a valid security shield.
Can I report information about a bad encounter or transaction?
Yes, we want to hear from you. Please email Security@Zibbiz.com and provide as much information as possible.
If you are reporting issues about an online transaction, you can also use the rating component to rate the user.
How can I check a user's security shield?
There is a link at the top of this page to verify a user's shield.
If I have negative marks on my Security Shield can they be removed?
Yes, Zibbiz can work with you to help put your shield back in good standing.
